Brighton

Introduction to Brighton, Colorado!

Although some think Brighton was named after a town in England, others debate that Brighton Beach, NY was the inspiration for this sleepy town just shy of 20 miles North of Denver.  Brighton lays as the County Seat of Adams County in the Northeast section of the Denver Metro Area.  With only 21,000 residents, Brighton enjoys some of benefits of a small town while only a few minutes drive to the major economic hub of Downtown Denver.  Brighton was officially incorporated as a city in 1887.  Some of the popular attractions that can be found nearby include: Forney Museum of Transportation, Magers Reservoir, Fort Vasquez, Benedict Park, Adams Count Historical Society and Barr Lake State Park.  Fort Vasquez was once a major trading hub for Native Americans.  Denver Internation Airport is quite close, so those travelling out of state can be there in minutes.  There is ample opportunities for those considering higher education in Brighton with the Community College of Aurora, Regis University and the Front Range Community College.

Being a bit out to the mainstream urban core, housing in Brighton tends to be more available and abundant in value.  If you are considering Brighton as a place you would like to call home, then start your home search here.
